Newborn Photography
The best time for newborn photography is within the first 2 weeks of birth. In the first few weeks newborns are more sleepy and flexible making them easier to pose. We'll document the miracle of your baby and capture all the little newborn details. If your baby is a little older it's not too late! We can still get some amazing newborn pictures even when your little one is a bit older. I'd love to chat with you about a newborn photography session for your baby! I accept a limited number of newborn photo sessions each month, in my Calgary home photography studio, so please book well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Newborn Photography-What To Expect
Newborns can be tiring but they are also amazing from head to toe. Babies grow up all too fast, and soon those first few weeks will be distant memory. It is best to have your baby photographed in the first few weeks of life in the studio. Partners and siblings are welcome, as well as generational family members.
The studio is warm and clean and there are plenty of items on hand and ready. During your newborn session, all of the wonderful details are captured. When partners and siblings are present, family photos, sibling photos, and any other combinations are captured. Please let us know of any requests or ideas. We are only limited by our imagination!
It is highly recommended to feed your baby just before you leave your home or at the studio prior to your session. Please do not fret over fussy newborns. There are many techniques for soothing babies! We will take as much time as needed for the session with plenty of breaks for feeding and changing.
Suggested Items to bring
-an extra bottle (if you are bottle feeding)
-pacifier
-blanket
-special heirlooms, rattles, or other items
-black long sleeved shirts for the parents
-if Dad will be returning to work after the session, we suggest bringing an extra pair of clothes
After the session
Once your session is over, it is time to relax and think about all the great photos you will see. As well as digital images, we offer a range of custom birth announcements, hard cover albums, canvases, and prints of all sizes. Your online gallery will be ready to view in approximately two weeks.
